horseonBlackThis Sunday my artwork will be on display at a benefit event in New Britain. “Help & Care Project Thailand” is taking place at The Monster Lab Recording Studio. 321 Ellis Street, New Britain, CT 5pm – 9 pm. $20, all ages.

“Help & Care Project Thailand” is going a journey to a small village of about 300 people to build a library and children’s center in the mountains along the border of Mayanmar. Volunteers will be teaching the children to read and write and playing sports with them. You can be a sponsor and buy a brick for $25 or two for $40.

“Help & Care Project Thailand” is also creating a veterinary clinic and animal shelter in Chuphon Province, where a 63 year old woman and her two daughters are caring for 200 dogs and 100 cats! For $35 you can save an animals life and they will send you a picture of the pet you have saved!

There will be photos on exhibit by Savanna Mazur and Zoraida Lopez as well as some of my original drawings and pastels of animals. DJ Occult69 will be performing along with a jazz trio The Lynn Tracey Project. Food will be provided by Naples Pizzeria in Farmington. Complimentary beverages will be served.

This is a beautiful alternative venue for shows and events, ideal for recording live performances. On the 6th floor of an old factory building with high ceilings and big windows looking out over the mountains, you can catch an amazing sunset.

Located at 321 Ellis Street in New Britain, CT, it is easy to get to. Simply take Rte 9 to exit 25 (The Ellis St / Kensington Exit) Take a right off the exit ramp, and it is the first building on your right. (You’ll see a sign on the side of the building that says ‘Incubation Center’) Park in the lot on the left- if it is filled there is a detour to go around to the right and park in the lot in the back of the building.
